Hi Everybody! [Jun. 24th, 2008|11:28 pm]
Graduate Students at Florida State University

I'll be attending FSU in the fall working on my MA in Russian and Eastern European Studies. I'm excited but this will definitely be a new experience for me. I've never been to Florida before. I just have a few general questions about the campus and Tallahassee. How hard are the campus and the city to navigate as a pedestrian? How is the bus system? Do you think it's hard to meet people? Anyone know anything about Christian ministries on campus? As a newbie is there anything I just have to know? Any advice is more than welcome. Thanks.

Hi! Nice to meet you. I'm Liz. Tallahassee, in my opinion is a great city to live in, especially if you'll be in school. There are lots of coffee shops and bookstores around to study in. The bus system is not the best though. It gets you around, but you have to wait quite a bit. I just recently got my Master's at Fsu in Information studies and am now getting a post-master's Specialist degree. As for Christian ministries, I go to a great church. It took me a while to find it, but I highly recommend it. It's called The Capital City Church of Christ and it is a nondenominational international christian church. I would love for you to come sometime. I'm not sure if you are here in Florida yet, but let me know when you are. If you have any other questions or anything, just let me know. I'd be glad to help :-)

It's nice to meet you as well, Liz. Thanks for your help. It looks like I'll be in Florida in mid-August.

Great. Send me a message when you're here. I'll help you out with anything you need, anything that will help you find some great friends and get to know the city and your way around :-)
